New infrastructure at Danvikstull, Henriksdal and Lugnet.
Danvikslösen is a planning project run jointly by the Stockholm and Nacka municipalities, Stockholm Transport and the Swedish Road Administration. The expansion of new infrastructure along the municipal boundary between Stockholm and Nacka will enable the realisation of an extensive urban development programme, primarily aimed at providing new housing in both municipalities. For Stockholm, it will mean ca. 2,500 new homes in the northern part of Hammarby Sjöstad.
The municipalities have drawn up four detailed development plans for the areas along the municipal boundary, one of which, S1/N1, is located primarily in Stockholm, with the other three primarily located in Nacka. The detailed development plans will enable the development of new infrastructure, while the development of new housing, etc. will be achieved via a separate planning system.
The draft detailed development plan, S1/N1, will add a new tunnel section through Henriksdalsberget to the Värmdövägen highway, and will enable both the construction of a new interchange at Danvikstull, (formerly the Henriksdal interchange) and the extension of Lugnets allé to Danvikstull. The Tvärbanan light rail link will be extended from Sickla Udde to Danvikstull and linked up with the Saltsjöbanan rail system at Lugnet. A new traffic hub enabling passengers to switch between buses and light rail traffic will be created at Danvikstull.
